Who we are
5500Vision is a product of BI App Factory LLC (“we,” “us”). This policy explains what information we collect when you use 5500vision.com and the 5500Vision application, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to operate the service:
- Account information — your email address, and any name or company you choose to provide when you sign up.
- Billing information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we retain only a customer reference and your subscription status.
- Usage data — pages viewed, searches run, and features used, so we can understand what to improve.
- Your saved work — saved searches and prospect lists you create in the application.
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, and device information collected automatically in server logs.
Information we do not collect
The Form 5500 and related filing data in the application is public record published by U.S. government agencies. It is not personal information you have given us, and nothing in this policy restricts our use of it. We do not collect special categories of personal data, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
How we use your information
- To provide the service — authenticate you, run your searches, and store your saved work.
- To bill you and manage your subscription.
- To send transactional email such as sign-in links and billing notices.
- To improve the product by analyzing aggregate usage patterns.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of vendors who process data on our behalf, each under their own security and privacy commitments:
- Supabase — database hosting and authentication.
- Vercel — application and website hosting.
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
- Resend — transactional and sign-in email delivery.
- PostHog — product analytics.
- Anthropic — generation of plan briefings. Prompts contain public filing data, not your personal information.
Cookies
We use cookies that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in, plus first-party analytics cookies that help us understand how the product is used. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block cookies in your browser, but the application will not be able to keep you signed in.
Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel, we retain your account and saved work for 90 days in case you return, after which it is deleted. Billing records are retained as long as required by tax and accounting rules.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access to production systems is restricted, and user data is isolated at the database level so one account cannot read another’s. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
You may request a copy of your personal data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. If you are in California, the EEA, or the UK, you may have additional rights under local law, including the right to object to certain processing and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes
If we make a material change to this policy we will update the date above and notify active subscribers by email.
